Position Summary

We’re seeking a motivated Account Executive to help grow our advertising partnerships. Reporting directly to the Publisher, you’ll identify prospects, build relationships, and secure print and digital ad agreements. This role suits a driven salesperson who values local business growth and wants to see Kemah Living flourish.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Development: Identify, pitch, and close new ad contracts using BVM’s proven tools.
• Account Management: Maintain strong advertiser relationships, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and renewals.
• Collaboration & Strategy: Work closely with the Publisher to set targets, strategize sales approaches, and track progress.
• Cross-Selling: Leverage cross-sale permissions within a 30-mile radius to maximize ad opportunities.

Compensation & Commission

• Print Ads:
• 30% residual commission on collected revenue for the life of the ad agreement.
• 70% commission for the first month on orthodox agreements (12+ months, ≤40% discount, paid via credit/ACH).
• Digital & Baseline Products:
• 30% commission on collected profit above baseline.
• 70% for the first month on orthodox agreements.

Commission continues as long as you remain active and the ad agreement is in place, including renewals.

Qualifications

• Sales Experience: Proven success in B2B or advertising sales.
• Community Focus: Passion for local business growth in Kemah, Clear Lake Shores, and South Shore Harbour.
• Communication: Strong presentation skills and relationship-building abilities.
• Motivation: Self-driven and organized, with a track record of hitting sales goals.
