Independence Village lives up to its name. We are privileged to offer a residential option for adults with intellectual and physical challenges, one that emphasizes dignity, independence, and community.

As a privately funded nonprofit organization, Independence Village provides a safe, supportive home for 24 residents aged 19 and older. Our residents include individuals with developmental or physical disabilities (i.e. Down Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, Autism, Intellectual Disability), who require minimal assistance with activities of daily living.

While community involvement is encouraged, Independence Village remains the place our residents call home. Each suite features a comfortable living area, spacious closets with built-in storage, and fully accessible bathrooms designed for individuals with physical challenges. In addition, shared amenities including a large game room and entertainment space to promote socialization, recreation, and a strong sense of community.  Several residents are employed or volunteer in the community.

For over 30 years, our dedicated team has created and maintained a warm, family-oriented environment where every resident is valued, supported, and empowered to live as independently as possible.
