Saturday, October 5, 2024 (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM) (CDT)
Description
THE HEROES BOAT PARADE has invited honorees that includes veterans and first responders who will be assigned to boats and requested to arrive at that boat by 10:00am. In turn, boats will begin congregating in Clear Lake, at 11:00. The cruise, to be led by the Coast Guard, will begin at 11:30 and will proceed through the Clear Lake/Galveston Bay Channel, past the Kemah Boardwalk (where many viewers will be), and out into Galveston Bay (to Marker #2). Thereafter, up to the captain’s discretion, some boats will immediately return to their home port, whereas others may elect to cruise for a while.
THE LUNCHEON Upon returning, all honorees, captains & volunteers are invited to the luncheon at the nearby Elks Lodge. Lunch begins @ 2:00pm.
