Pre-Party Heroes Boat Parade with Sailing Angels

Pre-Heroes Cruise Party for Boat Registrations at Jackie's Bar & Grill. WE NEED BOATS, CREW, AND (luncheon) HELPERS. CAN YOU HELP? THE CRUISE Invited honorees will be assigned to boats and requested to arrive at that boat by 10:30am. In turn, boats will begin congregating in Clear Lake, at 11:30. The cruise, to be led by the Coast Guard, will begin at 12 Noon and will proceed through the Clear Lake/Galveston Bay Channel, past the Kemah Boardwalk (where many viewers will be), and out into Galveston Bay (to Marker #2). Thereafter, up to the captain’s discretion, some boats will immediately return to their home port, whereas others may elect to cruise for a while. THE LUNCHEON Upon returning, all honorees, captains & volunteers are invited to the luncheon at the nearby Elks Lodge. Lunch begins @ 2:00pm. There is no fee for boat registration. 2024 “Salute To Heroes” Event Saturday, September 27, 2025, in the Kemah Area. Each year the Sailing Angels sponsors the “Salute To Heroes” event: comprised of (1) a mid-day boat parade, followed by (2) an afternoon luncheon & festivities, offered by the Elks Lodge #2322.
